Wilhelm Foundation’s Undiagnosed Photo Exhibitions in collaboration with renowned photographer Rick Guidotti, Positive Exposure.

Wilhelm Foundation’s collaboration with Photografer Rick Guidotti, Positive Exposure began in 2019, when a photo exhibition was held during the UDNI Conference in New Delhi, India. The exhibition featured children and adults living with undiagnosed diseases from India, helping bring visibility, dignity, and humanity to a community too often unseen. Photographer Rick Guidotti traveled with the Wilhelm Foundation to different Undiagnosed Diseases Programs, where he photographed individuals and families whose stories are at the heart of this work.

Since then, Wilhelm Foundation’s undiagnosed photo exhibitions have continued to travel internationally, sharing powerful portraits and personal stories of people and families living with undiagnosed diseases. The exhibitions help make the invisible visible and show the strength, uncertainty, hope, and lived experience behind the diagnostic odyssey.

In 2024, the exhibition was presented at the Positive Exposure Gallery in New York. Later that year, it was shown in Seoul, South Korea, during the UDNI Conference, bringing the message of the undiagnosed community to an international audience of clinicians, researchers, advocates, and families.

In 2025, the exhibition was presented at Mayo Clinic in the United States in conjunction with the Undiagnosed Hackathon, creating a powerful connection between science, medicine, collaboration, and lived experience.

In 2026, the exhibition continued to travel, reaching Radboudumc in the Netherlands and Austin, Texas. Each exhibition has helped raise awareness, build understanding, and remind the world that people living with undiagnosed diseases must be seen, heard, and included.

Together with Rick Guidotti and Positive Exposure, Wilhelm Foundation uses photography as a powerful tool for dignity, awareness, and change.
