The Undiagnosed Initiative – Photo Exhibition
The Undiagnosed Initiative – Photo Exhibition is a collaboration between photographer Rick Guidotti – Positive Exposure and Wilhelm Foundation.
Wilhelm Foundation’s mission is that all children with undiagnosed diseases should get a diagnosis and the photo project is a way to offer a second chance to diagnosis!
At the fifth International Conference on Undiagnosed Diseases in Stockholm Wilhelm Foundation arranged a photo exhibition with children with undiagnosed diseases and distributed a pamphlet with the medical information about the children in the photo exhibition to all the participants. It was a success and we started to think about the next congress. Since the pictures were taken by the parents and we felt we would do the children even more justice by having a professional photographer the next time.
In 2019 we had contact with photographer Rick Guidotti – Positive Exposure and asked him if he would like to collaborate with Wilhelm Foundation. Since then, he has been to five different places around the world taking photos of the undiagnosed. The adults and families with their children/adolescents that participated all have in common that they are undiagnosed even after being evaluated in one of the Undiagnosed Disease Programs in the world.
This exhibition presents the beauty and diversity of our UNDIAGNOSED community worldwide!
